the person

move slowly, think clearly, sleep deeply, live quietly, & laugh always.

I've always felt a bit like a collection of different people living in one body. Born in Argentina, grew up in South Africa, and I recently ended up spending three months running on dirt roads in Kenya. Geography is a part of my story, but only a part...

meaningful work
finding a way to contribute to the world with my mind.

I'm 23 years old, I study Applied AI at university, and I spend most of my time either running, reading, writing or planning some crazy adventure. People who know me well would probably call me a dreamer, as I have this habit of getting completely consumed by big visions. But I'd say it's important to believe deeply in the feeling of possibility, whilst also staying grounded in reality as it is.

Another trait (and skill) of mine is bringing people together, mostly through curating unforgettable experiences. I've hosted evenings that people still speak about today as if it were some kind of folklore. There's just something special about having a vision for a space you want to create, being intentional by inviting the right people to fill that space, and then watching the magic unfold.

As much as I love people, I'm also equal part introvert. The ways I recharge is usually with a book in hand, going on a long run, or sitting down for a meditation. My commitment to my spiritual growth is also a big part of how I approach my life. I maintain a quiet daily practice to stay present and be connected to something bigger than whatever is on my to-do list.

The things that matter to me are pretty simple. Family, good people, meaningful work, and beauty in all its forms. I lovveee music... listening to it, curating it, building a night around it. I also believe life is meant to be enjoyed. Adventures, good parties, long dinners. I care about art, and about leaving things slightly better than I found them.

I don't have it all figured out, and I've stopped pretending that I do. Instead, I'm just here to build things that matter, be a decent human, and see what happens when I actually pay attention to the world around me.

I race the 1500m to the 5000m professionally. And the occasional race in the mountains. That sounds very official, but most of the time I am just out there because the day-to-day reality of running makes me feel great.

Running takes me to places I never would have been able to explore. I get to meet people who bond over the shared freedom of movement. At times, running makes you suffer. But the kind of suffering that ultimately makes you grow. No force, just flow.

Right now, my big goal for the season is the Argentine National Championships in August. The goal is to earn my spot and make the Argentine team for the South American Games. Ambitious yes, but as Richard Branson once said… nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Long term, the 2032 Olympics is the big goal on the wall. Ambitious again and perhaps even audacious, but I truly believe I have what it takes. God has gifted me a talent, and it is my intention to honor it as best I can.

I've been told failure only happens when you lack the courage to even begin trying. So here I am, giving it my best shot :)

When it comes to work, my overarching philosophy is first understanding the why behind things rather than blindly executing. I try to get tasks done quickly, but I always want to stop and make sure we are actually building the right thing in the first place.

Someone recently pointed out that my best skill is partnership building, and I think they are probably right. My intuition tells me that in an increasingly AI driven world, figuring out how human relationships work becomes super valuable. I think I have a lot of value to add in that department.

Right now my focus is split across a few different worlds. I co-founded RIFT Performance, a recruitment service to connect African running talent with American NCAA scholarships. I also lead communications for AI Safety South Africa, where I have spent the last while growing our community and scaling our newsletter. Beyond that, I recently finished a 12-week sprint working with Xavier Academy to help rethink and reform education for teenagers. All these pursuits were undertaken whilst juggling the demands of a degree... which I am in the closing stages of finishing (shew).

At the end of the day, I just want to work on meaningful problems with smart people who raise me to a higher standard, all the while not taking ourselves too seriously.

the writer

I've always found writing to be my best form of articulating what's going on inside my head. It started with reading as a kid, devouring stories that allowed my imagination to run wild and free. Somewhere in-between it all I became convinced that words, when used well, are one of the most powerful things a person can wield. I still believe that.

Right now most of my writing lives inside the AI safety space. I write the newsletter for AI Safety South Africa. My job is to take what's happening in the field and write about it in a way that actually makes sense to people outside of it, which turns out to be an interesting challenge.

Beyond that, I've written and delivered countless speeches over the years. I think I have a quiet knack for making them entertaining and a little theatrical. But the part I actually love is writing them first. Standing up and delivering it is almost secondary. For me, a speech is crafted on the page.

The golden thread through all of it is the same. I write to understand things, and occasionally to help other people understand them too.

running
2025 – 2032

give it a real shot first

The big goal is the 2032 Olympics. But before that, I am focused on making the Argentine team for the South American Games in 2026. I also want to go after the Argentine national records in the 1500m, the mile, and the 2000m, and maybe mix in some trail races just to keep things interesting. Getting Adidas as a sponsor along the way would be the absolute dream.

work & purpose
ongoing

use my mind to make this world better

I do not know exactly which field I will end up in permanently, but I know the general direction. As I wrap up my degree in Applied AI, I am just trying to plant seeds for work that has actual meaning and impact.

money & freedom
a threshold, not a ceiling

simple, comfortable, free

I want a life that is simple, comfortable, and free. Financial independence matters to me, but I have very little desire to live in excess. There is a certain amount of money I need to live well. Beyond that threshold, I have already realized that the most valuable things in my life do not cost anything at all.

family & home
the deepest driver

a beautiful home, a family of my own

Eventually, my goal is to build a beautiful home and family of my own. This is something I will probably put more focus on in my 30s, but I reckon it'll always be there in the background shaping the choices I make today.
